IDsGO

EDIT 8190 Project

IDsGO (A website supporting instructional designers)

IDsGo is designed to help instructional designers promote professional development. There are two main functions of this website. The first one is personalized learning for IDs. IDs will fill out a survey before learning, and the results will be analyzed to recommend courses that best fit their learning goals and levels. The second function is to create an online learning community supporting IDs. All IDs could share their ideas, portfolios, and questions in the forum to get others' comments and feedback. They could also get event or organization notifications in the forum.

Situatedness in LDT (3rd Round)

EDIT 8100 Project

Situatedness in LDT

This project was an ongoing project which lasted for the whole first semester. In this project, I was asked to answer some questions about the overview of my research, the learning theories and scholars, and my potential research design at different times. When I finished all three rounds of situatedness, it was clear how my thoughts with LDT changed and grew as the course continued. It helped me to understand how the theories can help build the foundations for my research.

Interview Project

QUAL 8400 Project

Interview Project

This is a project from QUAL8400. In this project, I was asked to interview someone with a prepared well-organized protocol to see how researchers could interview participants in the qualitative study. This interview was my first time trying to interview someone in a formal setting. Through the practice, I got a deeper understanding of what a qualitative interview looked like and had the chance to apply some interview strategies to get more information from my participant.

Teaching Philosophy

GRSC 7770 Assignment

Teaching Philosophy

This is an assignment document from GRSC 7770. I took this course in this second semester and learned about graduate teaching. We mainly focus on active learning, student-centered learning, and setting higher-level goals. This teaching philosophy document reflects what I learned in this course, and what type of instructor I want to be in the future.
