Professional Development
My ongoing professional goal is to pursue a Ph.D. in Learning Design & Technology with a focus on
a) developing motivational strategies integrating learning technologies to motivate students to complete the learning tasks
b) analyzing how instructional designers make decisions in their design process with their priorities and what challenges they face when designing materials for online learning environments
c) deepening my understanding of design-based and mixed-method research methods to conduct my inquiries in LDT.

Teaching
EDIT 2000 --Intern&observing
In the first semester, I had the chance to observe an undergraduate-level intro course that aimed to help undergraduate students learn how to integrate technology into classrooms. I had the opportunity to observe practically how the instructor and the students interact with each other to establish an engaging environment.

GRSC 7770 Graduate Teaching
In the second semester, I took GRSC 7770 Teaching Assistant course to better understand how to be an instructor and provide active learning for students. These courses helped me learn teaching skills and strategies I could use in authentic classrooms.

CTL Workshop: Establishing Course Policies
I attended one CTL workshop in the MLC learning center, which focused on establishing course policies and dealing with some unexpected situations related to this topic. It was impressive since the seminar was well-organized, and the whole session was engaging. I interacted with other teaching assistants, listening to their classroom experiences and sharing thoughts on the scenarios.
