About Me
Hello! My name is Liangke Yang, and I come from China. I'm a first-year Ph.D. student in Learning, Design, and Technology at the University of Georgia.
Working as a curriculum and instructional designer in Beijing for three years, I noticed that although students widely adopt online learning, they still face problems and cannot achieve their learning goals with distance learning. That makes me think about how designers and instructors can develop instructional strategies to motivate students and support learning.
My current research interest focuses on instructional designers' perspectives on motivation in online learning design in higher education settings. I aim to explore how designers think of motivation in the design process and their priorities with decision-making factors to create meaningful materials to motivate students for better academic performance.
